The ELCA (Lutheran) Task force, a 15 member team has decided to recommend to the leadership to allow clergy in committed gay relationships to serve openly. A few years earlier the leadership ruled that gay pastors could serve as long as they were celibate. While I did not believe in this form of "don't ask don't tell" at the time it is a far cry from this current stance.
This new ruling condones relationships of this kind through out the church. While I beleive people have a right to self determination, I find it disturbing in the church. I would like your opinions.
